I never do this...complain about a book. I understand that it’s another person’s point of view and personal thoughts meant for entertainment, but wow! Boring doesn’t do this justice! I thought ok maybe it’s a slow start like some books are but nope just slow through the whole book. The main character is super whiny and needy. I definitely won’t read the second book.

Well written and interesting story about manipulation and ignorance about what’s occurred around your house and business. And a woman with 25 years old,not working and she lives at expenses of the parents fortune!! Incredible!!!!! Recommended

Dangerous Engagement

I just finished all three books ,. Somehow the use of “gonna”, instead of "going to “, and “wanna” rather than "want to", was extremely distracting. The stories were obviously interesting to me or I wouldn’t have bought the last two. The characters wore sort of static and although remaining a part of the whole story, did not show much development.

Novella intro, nothing happens

The author throws together two people from different backgrounds with “instant attraction”. It starts out interesting, but the characters were not sufficiently developed. The author relies on the internal pondering of the characters over things that had happened, rather than presenting them as they happened. It doesn’t work well as a compelling storytelling technique. Then suddenly (!!!) a conflict is finally presented in the story, but in a terribly clumsy way. And then the story is over. Seriously, 10 pages later. Maybe this author finds her footing in later installments, but I’m not interested enough in the characters or their story to find out.

Book interesting on the beginning— than it’s just waste of time and $

Beginning was good— than I bought it ( big mistake). Very weak story line - I do not recommend it. ( fyi it’s my first review ever - had to write it - from the description I expected more from this book) - disappointed.

Rich folks don’t associate with “the help”, but Aurora is falling in love with Henry.

Henry is a schoolteacher and works for the yacht club in the summer. His main goal is to become a writer. Aurora‘s parents think he is beneath her and not worthy of her love. And they do everything they can to break them up. When they hire Franklin to set up the podcast and crime division of Tate media, he hires Henry and keeps him out of town for months on end. This is really taking a toll on their relationship. When Aurora’s mother says Franklin wants to buy Tate media but she is included in the deal as in you will become his wife, she says absolutely not, but Henry and Aurora break up anyway. Long distance relationships are hard. This totally destroyed me because Henry and Aurora are so wonderful for each other. So there’s another book that continues their story. I can’t wait to read it. I just know her parents have something sneaky going on trying to force Aurora to do their bidding. A great book. I think there’s a lot more to the story than what her parents are telling her. Great cliffhanger.

Charlotte Byrd has scored another hit with Dangerous Engagement which is the first book in her Wedlocked Trilogy. It features Aurora, the daughter and heiress of a billion dollar media empire mogul, and Henry, son of a single mother who is a high school teacher striving to be a writer. Henry and Aurora meet aboard her father’s yacht and fall in love with each other even though her parents do not approve of their relationship. But, trouble is on the horizon for Aurora’s parents which only Aurora can resolve. I highly recommend this fantastic book with its amazing characters and unique plot which has deception, unexpected twists, and sizzling love. Aurora and Henry’s story continues in the next book of the trilogy entitled Lethal Wedding. I received a free copy of this ARC book in return for an honest and voluntary review.

This is the beginning of a new trilogy and it starts off with a bang! We meet Aurora and we’re rich girl that has parents that give her what ever but make her feel that she cant be enough. She’s in her last year for a PHD and is about her fathers Yacht and meets Henry. He’s a teacher and writer. They have an instant pull to the other even though they are totally opposite. Dangerous Engagement is the first book in the Wedlocked Trilogy which focuses on Aurora Tate and Henry Asher. Aurora is a girl who has everything she could ever ask for, having very wealthy and successful parents. She lives life feeling as her parents don’t trust her to run the company and bored of playing the perfect daughter and friend. Henry is the complete opposite of Aurora. He comes from a very humble background, with a single mother, and works hard to get by and help his mom with bills. Although Henry’s aspiration is to become a writer, he works as a teacher and does other work in the summer, where he meets Aurora. When they first meet, Aurora thinks she’s got Henry figured out but he surprises her when he shows her that he is not like the other men she’s met. She is curious of this man who she finds is clever and wants to know more about. Aurora and Henry spend their summer together and fall in love but not everything is roses and rainbows. They struggle with the disappointment of Aurora’s parents, financial issues, and disagreements. Aurora and Henry are from completely different worlds and will have their relationship challenged as problems arise with Aurora’s family, the company, and news of the man she is to marry.

This was the first book in a new series. It does end in a cliffhanger. Awesome characters and a great storyline. Unputdownable and intense. I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Maybe this author finds her footing in later installments, but I’m not interested enough in the characters or their story to find out.

Book interesting on the beginning— than it’s just waste of time and $

Beginning was good— than I bought it ( big mistake). Very weak story line - I do not recommend it. ( fyi it’s my first review ever - had to write it - from the description I expected more from this book) - disappointed.

Rich folks don’t associate with “the help”, but Aurora is falling in love with Henry.

Henry is a schoolteacher and works for the yacht club in the summer. His main goal is to become a writer. Aurora‘s parents think he is beneath her and not worthy of her love. And they do everything they can to break them up. When they hire Franklin to set up the podcast and crime division of Tate media, he hires Henry and keeps him out of town for months on end. This is really taking a toll on their relationship. When Aurora’s mother says Franklin wants to buy Tate media but she is included in the deal as in you will become his wife, she says absolutely not, but Henry and Aurora break up anyway. Long distance relationships are hard. This totally destroyed me because Henry and Aurora are so wonderful for each other. So there’s another book that continues their story. I can’t wait to read it. I just know her parents have something sneaky going on trying to force Aurora to do their bidding. A great book. I think there’s a lot more to the story than what her parents are telling her. Great cliffhanger.

Charlotte Byrd has scored another hit with Dangerous Engagement which is the first book in her Wedlocked Trilogy. It features Aurora, the daughter and heiress of a billion dollar media empire mogul, and Henry, son of a single mother who is a high school teacher striving to be a writer. Henry and Aurora meet aboard her father’s yacht and fall in love with each other even though her parents do not approve of their relationship. But, trouble is on the horizon for Aurora’s parents which only Aurora can resolve. I highly recommend this fantastic book with its amazing characters and unique plot which has deception, unexpected twists, and sizzling love. Dangerous Engagement is the first book in the Wedlocked Trilogy which focuses on Aurora Tate and Henry Asher. Aurora is a girl who has everything she could ever ask for, having very wealthy and successful parents. She lives life feeling as her parents don’t trust her to run the company and bored of playing the perfect daughter and friend. Henry is the complete opposite of Aurora. He comes from a very humble background, with a single mother, and works hard to get by and help his mom with bills. Although Henry’s aspiration is to become a writer, he works as a teacher and does other work in the summer, where he meets Aurora. When they first meet, Aurora thinks she’s got Henry figured out but he surprises her when he shows her that he is not like the other men she’s met. I never do this...complain about a book. I understand that it’s another person’s point of view and personal thoughts meant for entertainment, but wow! Boring doesn’t do this justice! I thought ok maybe it’s a slow start like some books are but nope just slow through the whole book. The main character is super whiny and needy. I definitely won’t read the second book.

Well written and interesting story about manipulation and ignorance about what’s occurred around your house and business. And a woman with 25 years old,not working and she lives at expenses of the parents fortune!! Incredible!!!!! Recommended

I just finished all three books ,. Somehow the use of “gonna”, instead of "going to “, and “wanna” rather than "want to", was extremely distracting. The stories were obviously interesting to me or I wouldn’t have bought the last two. The characters wore sort of static and although remaining a part of the whole story, did not show much development.

Dangerous Engagement is the first book in the Wedlocked Trilogy which focuses on Aurora Tate and Henry Asher. Aurora is a girl who has everything she could ever ask for, having very wealthy and successful parents. She lives life feeling as her parents don’t trust her to run the company and bored of playing the perfect daughter and friend. Henry is the complete opposite of Aurora. He comes from a very humble background, with a single mother, and works hard to get by and help his mom with bills. Although Henry’s aspiration is to become a writer, he works as a teacher and does other work in the summer, where he meets Aurora. When they first meet, Aurora thinks she’s got Henry figured out but he surprises her when he shows her that he is not like the other men she’s met. She is curious of this man who she finds is clever and wants to know more about. Aurora and Henry spend their summer together and fall in love but not everything is roses and rainbows. They struggle with the disappointment of Aurora’s parents, financial issues, and disagreements. Aurora and Henry are from completely different worlds and will have their relationship challenged as problems arise with Aurora’s family, the company, and news of the man she is to marry.

This was the first book in a new series. It does end in a cliffhanger. Awesome characters and a great storyline. Unputdownable and intense. I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

I never do this...complain about a book. I understand that it’s another person’s point of view and personal thoughts meant for entertainment, but wow! Boring doesn’t do this justice! I thought ok maybe it’s a slow start like some books are but nope just slow through the whole book. The main character is super whiny and needy. I definitely won’t read the second book.

Well written and interesting story about manipulation and ignorance about what’s occurred around your house and business. And a woman with 25 years old,not working and she lives at expenses of the parents fortune!! Incredible!!!!! Recommended

I just finished all three books ,. Somehow the use of “gonna”, instead of "going to “, and “wanna” rather than "want to", was extremely distracting. The stories were obviously interesting to me or I wouldn’t have bought the last two. The characters wore sort of static and although remaining a part of the whole story, did not show much development.

The author throws together two people from different backgrounds with “instant attraction”. It starts out interesting, but the characters were not sufficiently developed. The author relies on the internal pondering of the characters over things that had happened, rather than presenting them as they happened. It doesn’t work well as a compelling storytelling technique. Then suddenly (!!!) a conflict is finally presented in the story, but in a terribly clumsy way. And then the story is over. Seriously, 10 pages later. Maybe this author finds her footing in later installments, but I’m not interested enough in the characters or their story to find out.

Book interesting on the beginning— than it’s just waste of time and $

Beginning was good— than I bought it ( big mistake). Very weak story line - I do not recommend it. ( fyi it’s my first review ever - had to write it - from the description I expected more from this book) - disappointed.

Rich folks don’t associate with “the help”, but Aurora is falling in love with Henry.

Henry is a schoolteacher and works for the yacht club in the summer. His main goal is to become a writer. Aurora‘s parents think he is beneath her and not worthy of her love. And they do everything they can to break them up. When they hire Franklin to set up the podcast and crime division of Tate media, he hires Henry and keeps him out of town for months on end. This is really taking a toll on their relationship. When Aurora’s mother says Franklin wants to buy Tate media but she is included in the deal as in you will become his wife, she says absolutely not, but Henry and Aurora break up anyway. Long distance relationships are hard. This totally destroyed me because Henry and Aurora are so wonderful for each other. So there’s another book that continues their story. I can’t wait to read it. I just know her parents have something sneaky going on trying to force Aurora to do their bidding. A great book. I think there’s a lot more to the story than what her parents are telling her. Great cliffhanger.

Charlotte Byrd has scored another hit with Dangerous Engagement which is the first book in her Wedlocked Trilogy. It features Aurora, the daughter and heiress of a billion dollar media empire mogul, and Henry, son of a single mother who is a high school teacher striving to be a writer. Henry and Aurora meet aboard her father’s yacht and fall in love with each other even though her parents do not approve of their relationship. But, trouble is on the horizon for Aurora’s parents which only Aurora can resolve. I highly recommend this fantastic book with its amazing characters and unique plot which has deception, unexpected twists, and sizzling love. Aurora and Henry’s story continues in the next book of the trilogy entitled Lethal Wedding. I received a free copy of this ARC book in return for an honest and voluntary review.
